Here we are then, a world full of technological advancements and… dare I say, a computerized makeover. Now whether that’s considered to be something good or bad quite glaringly isn’t something for us tech enthusiasts at NUST and IEEE SEECS. Henceforth we’re going to make you all delve into just that – The IEEE Raspberry Pi workshop.
What is Raspberry Pi?
Well, to put it simply, it’s a small, credit card-sized computer that’s extremely cheap. It plugs into a computer monitor, TV, etc and uses the usual keyboard or mouse as its input. It is very capable for its size and on top of that, enables everyone to learn how to program in languages such as Python and Scratch.
What can one do using Raspberry Pi?
You can do a whole lot of stuff. Here’s a list:
- Wireless Print Server
- Retro Gaming Machine
- Minecraft Game Server
- Robot Controller
- Stop Motion Camera
- Time Lapse Camera
- Build a Network Monitoring Tool
What’s going to be taught?
We’re going to provide you with just what you need with an 8-hour workshop that has an hour for break in between.
You see, sometimes those little, rather unglamorous things can make a difference in life. 😉
Awaken your inner-techie
There you have it then, to epitomize it all, if you really call yourself a tech-savvy, it would be a pretty bad look if you didn’t show up. It’ll be an opportunity to meet people like your own selves.
Experience to Learn
There will be a distribution of certificates
, you’ll be provided with the prerequisite kits to work on, and the seats are limited. Be there if you want to learn more than just what’s taught to everyone!
