EEG Workshop

September 21, 2016 - September 22, 2016

The Neuro-Informatics Lab at SEECS NUST brings you the opportunity to get hands-on experience with EEG data acquisition and to learn the signal processing techniques used in EEG data analysis. Here’s your chance to explore the neuroscience and neural-engineering fields, get some ideas for your Senior Design Projects/ Master’s Thesis or perhaps, to add a new skill to your resume!

What will I learn at the workshop?
You will learn how to record EEG data using the mBrainTrain’s Smarting Amplifiers, MATLAB analysis of the recorded data using EEGLAB, lectures on the signal processing techniques used in EEG data analysis, and a special session on wireless EEG amplifiers, smartphone acquisition, and flexible-printed electrodes.

• Day 1

First Half
9.00 – 10.30 Introduction to Multi-Channel EEG
10.45 – 12.15 EEGLAB Software Overview

Second Half (Charges: Rs.100 for Nustians and Rs. 500 for others)
13.30 – 15.15 Hands-on EEG Acquisition Demo
15.30 – 17.00 Hands-on EEG analysis

• Day 2

9.00 – 10.30 Independent Component Analysis
10.45 – 12.15 Classification of Single-Trial EEG

13.30 – 15.15 Mobile EEG
15.30 – 17.00 Ear EEG

What will it cost me?
This workshop is open for all, both Nustians and Non-Nustians. You are required to pay for the second half of Day 1 i.e Technical Workshops, which can be done onspot.
The rest of the sessions are FREE OF CHARGE.

We have limited seats available, so get registered asap (Deadline: 15th Sept):

Will I receive an acknowledgement of participation?
Yes, every participant will receive a certificate at the end of the workshop stating they have learned EEG data acquisition and EEG signal processing using EEGLAB
